The Advanced Materials VIP
From macro, micro to nanoscale analysis
The Advanced Materials VIP is the first HORIBA online experience dedicated to materials only and their characterization!
Join us to discover exclusive talks on 2D materials, nanocrystals, thin films... and characterization tools to probe their properties.
Attendees are invited to register for free and join us on Thursday, October 29.
Program
Graphene and other 2D Materials
9am-10.50am
Many challenges remain before the promise of 2D materials is realized in the form of practical nano-devices. Discover how characterization techniques like Raman, Photoluminescence, AFM-Raman & TERS help to better understand and qualify these materials.
Thin films & Semiconductors devices (Part one)
11am-12:30pm
From organic photovoltaics to spintronics, thin films are widely used for building devices. Knowing about their properties, including presence of defects, is crucial for device optimization. Check out how GD-OES, PP-TOFMS, Raman, Ellipsometry and NV Magnetometry can help to characterize them.
HORIBA new products
1pm-2pm
Don't miss our Luncheon Seminar and you’ll hear about our most recent innovative products. Our HORIBA experts will present four new releases: the LabRAM Soleil Raman microscope, the ProteusQ NV magnetometer, the XGT9000 X-ray microscope and CytoViva's enhanced dark-field and hyperspectral imaging combined with Raman.
Thin Films & Coatings (Part Two)
2pm-3.20pm
Thin film coatings are used to tune material properties. GD-OES, Ellipsometry, Cathodoluminescence and Raman spectroscopy are among the techniques providing knowledge about their thickness, composition, morphology etc.
Nanocrystals, Nanoparticles & Quantum Dots
4pm-6pm
Emitting or absorbing light, accelerating chemical reactions, carrying drugs etc. The field of applications of nanoparticles is broad. Find out how AFM-TERS, Ellipsometry and Fluorescence spectroscopy give insights about their properties.
